Lady Party LOVE

"Like the tap, tap, tap of the keyboard,
when the dogs look at me and yawn.
Like the tick, tick, tock of the post post clock,
As I wait for comments to spawn.

Like the drip, drip, drip of my blog posts,
When I'm feeling open and raw,
So the voice within me keeps repeating...

Where are you?"
(My sincere apologies to Cole Porter.)

Blogging can be a lonely endeavor. Living on a 50 acre farm in the middle of nowhere is a lonely endeavor. Facing the empty nest when your husband travels for work, also a lonely endeavor. Reaching out for connection when you're afraid of being rejected, well that can be lonely too.

That's why it's lovely to be reminded that you're not alone slipping messages in bottles that never reach the shore. Someone, somewhere out there is opening that bottle and digging what you're throwing down. This blog is my labor of love, it's my sandbox, it's my virtual cocktail party, it's the place where the veil is lifted and the truth is told.

Sometimes it's about the empty nest, sometimes we ponder politics, sometimes we #disruptaging, sometimes we muse on what amuses, sometimes we explore herstory, sometimes we dig deep, and sometimes we find our power. Much like this blogger, it's a mixed bag, a pu pu platter, a plethora of whatnots and how dee dos.

This is The Lady Party, and it's just getting started. Who knows what adventures await? Let's find out together, shall we? After all, nobody wants to be a Party of One. Thank you to Viva Fifty for the shout out, I'm honored. Check out the 7 other kick-ass MidLife bloggers featured in the article, you'll be glad you did.

"Whether near to me or far, it doesn't matter where you are,
You're welcome here...Night and Day!"
