(Disclosure: Blogger was sent a box of Farmacy Beauty products for review. All opinions are 100% her own.)
The fab folks from Farmacy Beauty sent me a box of skin care goodies to enjoy recently. I took their Honey Potion for a spin last week. Like the rest of Farmacy's line, this is a farm to face concept. They've combined their proprietary Echinacea GreenEnvy with honey (a natural humectant used since ancient times), propolis (a healing antiseptic found in beehives) and amino acid-rich royal jelly (the food given to the queen bee which enhances skin renewal for a younger appearance.)
What is it?
This thick, warming, honey based mask is designed to hydrate, soften, nourish, and revitalize skin for a more youthful, glowing appearance.
What is in it?
This super hydrating mask with natural honey sugars is rich in amino acids and essential B vitamins.
GreenEnvy™ honey is full of potent natural antioxidants and is made only by bees that live on their farm and pollinate the Echinacea GreenEnvy™ flowers.
A unique patent-protected variant of Echinacea Purpurea, GreenEnvy™ contains the highest known concentration of the phytochemical Cichoric Acid, a potent natural antioxidant, which heightens the hydrating and purifying benefits of honey.
Glycerin acts as a natural humectant, helping attract moisture to the skin and providing hydrating effects for a moist, supple skin surface.
How does it work?
- Cleanse and tone the skin.
- Use the spatula to scoop the mask and spread a thick layer gently across the face from forehead to chin (avoiding direct contact with eye and lip areas.)
- Massage into skin for 1-2 minutes while it warms and transforms into a white cream.
- Leave on for 10-15 minutes then rinse off.
- Follow with your favorite Farmacy day or night treatment.
What do they say?
- 100% of women noticed a younger appearance and a more glowing, smooth complexion
- 100% of women noticed an increase in moisture and their skin was more nourished.
- 97% of women noticed a clearer complexion.
Honestly, and without hesitation, I LOVE this product. I wasn't sure because it's so thick, but it spreads on easily, warms immediately, and rinses off quickly. My skin felt soft, supple, firm, and looked amazing after the first use. The applicator made it easy to remove the product from the jar and spread it over the skin. It starts out feeling thick and a little sticky, like honey. I massaged it with my fingertips and it changed from amber to white and warmed to the touch.
You can see the before, during, and after photos in the graphic above. My skin was visibly plumper and firmer, the fine lines and wrinkles were diminished, and my skin felt soft and supple. It was radiant without and with makeup.
4.1 ounces, $56.00
I love that the Honey Potion applicator stays attached to the lid with a magnet so you don't have to worry about misplacing it. The packaging is pretty enough to sit out on the counter. When you run out of product, you have a lovely glass jar with a wooden lid you can use for something else. Bonus!
0.25 ounces, $16.50
They also sent their Honey Ginger Lip Bloom, which is a generous pot of lip softening and protecting salve. It's just a bit sweet, and not too sticky. My lips really needed this with the dry indoor heat. It's become a daily staple in my winter beauty regimen.
1.6 ounces, $34.00
Finally, they sent a generous 1.6 ounce tube of the Honey Savior Salve, which I have used for my dry feet, hands, and even slathered on my face overnight. It's thick but not terribly greasy. It soaks in overnight and leaves your skin feeling soft and hydrated in the morning. This sumptuous salve contains a potent combination of honey (used since ancient times for wound care), amino acid-rich royal jelly to nourish the skin, and propolis, a natural antiseptic found in beehives.
